Welcome to the homepage of WiWiT – Who is Who in Transport, co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund within a Programme for Cross-border Cooperation Slovakia – Austria 2007-2013. WiWiT is a project aiming to map different competences relevant to transport planning, construction and operation in Eastern Austria and Western Slovakia for smoother and deeper international cooperation in the future.
The research to be undertaken in the WiWiT project will reveal the different structures of organizations in the two neighboring countries, which have been developing different administrative and organizational structures over decades. Through in-depth data/information collection and analyses in the area of transport, the project aims to create a clear “map” of the competences in the two countries, and eventually help to deepen the international collaboration between the two countries in the future.
